✊πΎ About WalkGood LA and Its Founder

WalkGood LA was founded by Etienne Maurice, a filmmaker, activist, and wellness leader — and the proud son of Emmy Award–winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Born from the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 and the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Etienne started organizing moments of breathwork, yoga, and meditation before community protests in Los Angeles. What began as a few moments of peace grew into a transformational movement promoting unity, healing, and empowerment.
Today, WalkGood LA stands as a family-led community wellness organization, offering yoga classes, hikes, run clubs, and healing circles across Los Angeles. With support from Propel Fitness Water and Michael B. Jordan, Etienne and his team established The WalkGood Yard, a creative wellness studio in L.A. that symbolizes hope, healing, and community.
Now, that same compassion extends across the Caribbean — to help rebuild Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
